Self-control in marriage is the ability to manage one’s emotions, words, desires, and reactions for the good of the relationship.

It helps prevent unnecessary conflict, protects trust, and promotes a healthy and stable partnership.

In biblical sense, self-control is part of spiritual maturity.

“He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.” (Proverbs 13:3)
